Privacy Policy
How Black Gurl Boho collects, uses, and protects your information — in plain language.
Your privacy matters here. When you share your information with Black Gurl Boho — joining a list, sending a message, or placing an order — you're trusting me with it. This page explains what I collect, why I collect it, and what I never do with it.
Information I collect
What you share directly. When you join an interest list, contact me, apply as a vendor, or RSVP for a gathering, I collect whatever you enter — typically your name, email address, phone number, and anything you write in the message field.
When you place an order. Shopify, my store platform, collects your shipping address and payment details to process your order. I never see or store your full payment information — that's handled securely by Shopify and its payment processors.
Automatically. Like most websites, this one collects basic technical information through cookies — things like your device type, browser, and which pages you visit. It helps me understand what's working on the site.
How I use your information
- To respond to your messages and questions.
- To send the updates you signed up for — travel interest lists, gathering announcements, new arrivals.
- To process and fulfill your orders.
- To improve the site and understand what my community loves.
Email and text messages
You only hear from me because you asked to — every list is opt-in. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can reply STOP to any text message to opt out. If you'd rather email hello@blackgurlboho.com and ask to be removed from everything, I'll take care of it.
What I never do with your info
I do not sell your personal information. Period. I don't rent it, trade it, or hand it to data brokers.
The services that help run the store
I share only what's necessary with the services that keep this site running: Shopify (store platform, checkout, and hosting), payment processors (to take your payment securely), and email/text messaging tools (to deliver the messages you signed up for). They're only permitted to use your information to provide their service — not for their own marketing.
Cookies
This site uses cookies for the basics — keeping your cart working and understanding site traffic. You can block cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site (like checkout) may not work as well without them.
Your rights
You can ask me at any time to see what information I have about you, correct it, or delete it — just email hello@blackgurlboho.com. If you live in California, Virginia, or another state with a privacy law, you have additional rights under those laws (including the right to know what is collected and to opt out of certain uses), and I will honor them.
Children
This site isn't directed at children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect their information.
